📦 From China & Hong Kong (Under $800)

  • From May 2, 2025: All low-value goods ($800 or less) from China or Hong Kong sent by courier will face full tariffs.
  • If sent by postal mail, they will face:
    • A 90% tariff, or
    • A flat fee of $75 per package (rising to $150 after June 1, 2025)
  • U.S. Customs can also require formal documentation for postal packages. In that case, regular tariffs (not flat rates) apply.

📦 From Other Countries (Excluding China/Hong Kong)

A new 10%+ tariff will also apply to low-value imports from other countries, but only after the U.S. sets up a system to collect these duties. A start date hasn’t been announced yet.
